The Premier League plays host to a wide variety of the modern game's most talented and sought-after stars, many of which are true innovators in their privileged profession.

Tottenham Hotspur are a club which harbour a number of scintillating aces, especially Spurs' English hit-man Harry Kane, who it has emerged thanks to a report published by Sky Sports, has won the PFA Fans' Premier League Player of the Season award, after finishing the 2016-17 domestic campaign as the division's top-scorer, with a tally of 29 emphatic goals to his credible name.

The poll consisted of six Premier League players which were chosen by the network's expert pundits in Paul Merson and Peter Beagrie, general manager of the Professional Game Match Officials' Mike Riley and Malcolm Clarke - who is the chairman of the Football Supporters' Federation.

Over a staggering 49,000 votes were balloted on Sky Sports' website and interactive apps and Kane, who claimed a hefty 16,378 of the votes surfaced as the victor.

The five other relevant aces in the English game who were nominated were Chelsea's dogged N'Golo Kante (13,515), the Blues' influential Eden Hazard (8,412), Arsenal's potent attacker Alexis Sanchez (6,727), Tottenham playmaker Dele Alli (3,507) and Everton hit-man Romelu Lukaku (955).

The 23-year-old's imposing presence in-front of goal helped his squad climb the table to their highest ever Premier League finish in 2nd, just behind Antonio Conte's Stamford Bridge dwellers.

Kane has now finished the league's top-scorer for a second consecutive season at White Hart Lane, with his efforts being recognised with his undisputed inclusion in the PFA Premier League Team of the Year.

Chelsea's title winning Kante and Hazard - who himself scored 16 goals and notched five assists - effortlessly earned themselves countless plaudits throughout the campaign which has just passed, as their resurgent club ultimately lifted the Premier League trophy.

Although it is Tottenham's abundant target-man who scoops this particular accolade, and with his career still being tender in experience, there's surely more to come from Mauricio Pochettino's clinical striker in the future.
