    Police in Benue State arrests 3 suspected robbers on suspicion of theft

    The police in Benue State have arrested three suspected armed robbers and 10 others from different locations on suspicion of theft and receiving stolen phones, Asdeenvibez gathers.
    Spokesman of the command, Moses Joel Yamu, said one of the suspected armed robbers, Mike Solomon Aondo, who specialised in snatching vehicles, was trailed to Obollo Afor in Enugu State where he was arrested with the vehicle, adding that efforts were ongoing to arrest other members of the gang.
    The vehicle, a Toyota Highlander jeep with Reg. No. GBG 44 AA, was robbed at gunpoint from the owner in his residence at the Old Assembly Quarters in Makurdi.
    Yamu explained that the duo of Joseph John, 18, and Innocent Ejembi, 20, (dressed in military camouflage) both of Onyagede District in Ohimini Local Government Area who were notorious for robbery in that axis were arrested at a robbery scene dressed in army camouflage uniforms with a dummy gun which they used in carrying out their criminal acts.
    The police spokesman further stated that the other 10 people were apprehended at various addresses in Makurdi Metropolis based on a tip off for theft and receiving stolen phones.
    Yamu noted that police operatives raided their suspected location at Tito Gate GSM shops and arrested the following: John Okpara, Sunday Okori, David Akogwu, Anthony Emmanuel, Chia Wuese, Ujor Paul, Abdullahi Garba, Lucky Onunze, Tyolumun Samuel and Japheth Akabe.
