Okowa’s aide calls for adequate voter education at grassroots

Special Assistant to Governor of Delta State on Community Development, Prince Pedro Luke,  has charged political party’ executives to  be involved in adequate voters education at the grassroots.


Luke, shortly after the Peoples Democratic Party,  PDP, Ward 8 monthly meeting held in Akugbene, Bomadi Local Government Area of the state, noted that elections start from the grassroots before any other level, therefore, the people  it begins with need adequate education.

He said, “The success of democracy largely depends on the information and awareness at the disposal of the people at the wards which they got  from their ward executives. It is when voters have adequate education that free and fair elections become a reality.”

He  commended Ward 8 executives and party faithful for their efforts in making peace with one another to keep PDP flag flying, and charged party faithful to work hard in order to return Governor Ifeanyi Okowa and also deliver all PDP candidates in the forth coming 2019 general election.

He charged them to remember constantly that they are holding offices, not in their own right, but in the right of the total membership of the ward and the party, PDP.

Earlier, the Ward 8 PDP Chairman, Prince John Blark, enjoined  the people to continue to work for PDP and also make amends with any aggrieved member for whatever reasons.
